Can you provide an example of a Framework for Product Marketing & Solutions Go-to-Market?

What is Product Marketing, and why is it important?
Product marketing is the process of bringing a product to market and ensuring its success. It lives and collaborates with multiple organizations (e.g. Product Development, Operations, Sales, and Marketing) within the company. It's key roles include:

  • Product's positioning and messaging: What is the product, and what problem does it solve? Who is the target market, and what are their needs?

  • Launching the product: Creating a launch plan, developing marketing materials, and executing the launch.

  • Promotion and Training: Ensuring that salespeople understand the product and can effectively sell it, and that customers understand the product and how to use it.

  • Driving demand and usage: Generating awareness of the product, generating leads, and converting leads into customers.

What is Solutions based Go-to-Market?
The era of traditional marketing has come to an end. If your organization hasn't yet incorporated solutions based product marketing into its strategies, it may be time to reevaluate your entire marketing function. Traditional structures recruit a Head of Marketing, who subsequently hire social media specialists, content creators, designers, and often an external agency for additional support.
